The Association of Independent Music (AIM) has announced a new international sync licensing conference covering all the latest developments in the industry and future-facing panel sessions.

AIM Sync takes place on 28 January at the Barbican Centre, London, connecting the music-makers and the wider industry with international figures working across film, gaming, TV, advertising and branding.

Topics will cover in-house music licensing, writing for games, soundtracking TV dramas, the journey from artist to media composer and the evolution of creative advertising.

Panellists already confirmed include composer Jessica Curry (pictured), Stuart Braithwaite from Glasgow post-rock band Mogwai, Ed Horrox (4AD), Nicky Bignell (BBC) and Peter Bradbury (Sky).

A variety of international buyers will take part in listening sessions, speed meetings and networking sessions, creating opportunities for guests to make connections and take home practical advice to help them achieve their business goals.

The Guild of Music Supervisors and Ukie, the trade body for the UK’s games and interactive entertainment industry, are partners on the event.

Tickets are available from http://www.musicindie.com/event/aim-sync-2019/.

For those looking to learn the basics of securing a sync deal and how sync deals are structured ahead of this conference, AIM Academy is running a masterclass, How to Get Started in Sync, on 22 January.

Tickets for this warm-up work shop are available from http://www.musicindie.com/event/aim-academy-how-to-sync/.
